Reverse-Image-Resistant Photo Selection on Grindr
Photos are consistently distant, poorly lit, or angled away — harder than normal to match against other sources. On Grindr, where the dominant catfish pattern is faceless/cropped profile photos used to delay any usable image for reverse search, this tactic is a common companion to that pattern. Grindr supports live video calling in-app, so a live call is the fastest way to test for this tactic directly.
Counter-Move
Treat a photo set that is unusually hard to search as its own data point, not a coincidence of bad lighting.
Check It
The tell — Photos are consistently distant, poorly lit, or angled away — harder than normal to match against other sources. — is visible in the photo itself, which is what this tool checks.
