What This Site Is For
Catfish Finder exists for one situation: someone has contacted you, they have made claims about who they are, and you want to check those claims before trusting them with your money, your identity, or your safety. Every tool and every page here is built around that. It is a verification aid for a person you are already talking to — not a search engine for looking up people in general.
What a Result Is and Is Not
No check on this site returns a verdict about a human being. A result describes what publicly available sources did or did not show for the input you provided, at the moment you ran it. That is all it is. It is not proof that a person is honest, and it is not proof that a person is a fraud. Absence of a record often means only that the record is not public; a match often means only that two things look alike. Treat any result as one input to your own judgment, never as a conclusion.
No Accusation Against Any Real Person
The tactic, script, and scenario material in the Intel and Defense wings is original analytical writing about recurring patterns, described in general terms. It does not name, depict, or accuse any real, identifiable individual of anything. Any resemblance between an illustrative example and a specific person is unintended and should not be read as a claim about that person.
Not a Consumer Report
Catfish Finder is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing it produces is a consumer report. Uses That Are Out of Bounds
Do not use this site to research, monitor, locate, or build a profile of someone who has not contacted you. Do not use it to stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, or expose anyone, including a former partner. Do not use it to unmask a person who is anonymous for their own safety. The same techniques that help someone escape a scam can be turned against a person who has done nothing wrong, and that is precisely the use this site is not built for.
