Platform-Hopping Request on Tinder
A request to switch apps arrives within the first few messages, before any real rapport would normally justify it. On Tinder, where the dominant catfish pattern is stolen influencer/model photo sets run across dozens of duplicate profiles, this tactic is a common companion to that pattern. Tinder supports live video calling in-app, so a live call is the fastest way to test for this tactic directly.
Counter-Move
Staying on the original platform's messaging for longer preserves its reporting and moderation tools — an early push off it removes that safety net on purpose.
