Inconsistent Life Details on LinkedIn
A detail stated confidently in one conversation quietly differs from the same detail stated weeks later, without acknowledgment. On LinkedIn, where the dominant catfish pattern is a fabricated executive/military persona used to lend financial or romantic credibility, this tactic is a common companion to that pattern. LinkedIn has no native video-call feature, so testing for this tactic usually means proposing a call on a separate app instead.
