Excessive Flattery on Plenty of Fish

Praise on appearance or generic virtues ("so kind, so different") rather than anything specific to the conversation. On Plenty of Fish, where the dominant catfish pattern is low-moderation free signup used for high-volume bot outreach, this tactic is a common companion to that pattern. Plenty of Fish has no native video-call feature, so testing for this tactic usually means proposing a call on a separate app instead.
