Talent Agent Approach — Script Breakdown
Talent Agent Approach is a romance-fraud playbook. Targets users on social or dating platforms with an unsolicited claim of representing an acting or entertainment opportunity.
The Manipulation Arc
- 01Opening
Approaches with a specific entertainment opportunity, often citing a project name to sound credible.
- 02Building Trust
Provides seemingly official materials — a contract, a casting notice — to build legitimacy quickly.
- 03The Ask
Requests an upfront fee for representation, a casting deposit, or 'union processing' before any paid work is confirmed.
- 04Post-Ask
Additional fees are introduced at each claimed next stage.
The Ask
An upfront representation, casting, or processing fee requested before any paid entertainment work is confirmed.
Counter-Move
Search the named production, agency, or casting notice independently through the entertainment industry's standard public trade listings, and treat any request for upfront payment from a performer as disqualifying on its own.
